Valencia Orange

Citrus is one of the most popular and widely grown fruit crops in the world. Citrus and its products are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre that are essential for the overall nutritional well-being. Among the most commonly cultivated types, oranges account for more than half of world citrus production and are the most widely traded citrus fruit followed by tangerines, lemons and grapefruits. World citrus production and export have grown steadily over the past three decades, although at a slower pace than competing fruits such as mangoes, avocadoes and melons.

Valencia oranges are a summer orange with thin, golden-orange skin and sweet, juicy fruit. They can be used in cooking, in salads, desserts, and sauces, and for making orange juice, as well as for snacking on raw.

A Valencia orange is a citrus fruit that is known for its sweet flavor. Valencia oranges look much like your typical oranges, with an oval shape, golden color on the outside, and bright orange flesh on the inside. They have a thin skin and a couple of seeds and they are typically very juicy.

Valencia oranges are sweet and juicy. They have a balanced sweet-to-tart flavor ratio that carries over to their juice. Valencia oranges are believed to be a hybrid cross of pomelos and mandarins, which explains their sweetness.

Valencia oranges are very sweet and a distinctive bright colored juice that other citrus fruits don’t have.

The Valencia Orange is a medium to large orange variety with a smooth and pebbled surface and a semi thick fragrant peel that clings loosely to its segmented and barely seeded flesh. Its flesh, when ripe, is supremely sweet, juicy and tender.
