CITRUS
Purchasing from select family farmers who farm organically.
Citrus fruits are one of the most important products that Egypt exports to the world, as Egyptian citrus fruits are distinguished by their high quality with lower levels of salinity, and they vary between oranges, tangerines, lemons, oranges and grapefruits.
Capital Agro focuses on farms with fertile soil with moderate soil salinity, to produce good-looking citrus fruits, with increased juice content, high sugar level and low acidity.
Capital Agro adopts international standards for collecting and sorting fruits, where farmers collect the fruits to complete the first stages of preparation for packaging by losing the moisture of the fruits to prevent changes.
In the sorting stations, the fruits are washed with water and disinfectants with approved concentrations, then dried, and prepared by removing the leaves and inappropriate fruits.
In order to keep the products retaining all their vital specifications, the latest means and methods of rapid cooling are used up to -3 degrees Celsius, with the aim of the fresh product reaching the customer, through international shipping companies.
Capital Agro relies on packing in cardboard boxes or plastic packages, and it is required that they bear pressure and transportation problems, that the box has a cover to prevent contamination with ventilation holes to maintain product quality.

Capital Agro for Import and Export is also interested in the stage of harvesting the crop, as it is keen to harvest the crop when it is fully ripe in the correct way, taking into account the safety of the product and accuracy in choosing the appropriate degree of maturity for harvesting.
When picking, the company is keen, in the case of manual harvesting, to have workers trained in the correct methods of harvesting. In some fruits, it is possible to use some equipment such as scissors or knives.
Starting from soil selection, farming methods and farm service programs represented in (irrigation, fertilization, pest and insect control using pesticides approved by the European Union and according to international quality standards to avoid pesticide residues in the final product) In addition to the methods of harvesting the fruits from the

Capital Agro has several types of fresh vegetables such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes.
Capital Agro is primarily keen on satisfying the customer, which comes through its keen interest in the need to choose the ingredients that contribute to the production suitable for export, including the selection of arable soil.
Fresh vegetables are subjected to multiple stages, beginning with the cultivation stage, in which the company focuses on the use of pesticides that conform to international standards, so that a certified examination is conducted to analyze pesticide residues to prove that the vegetables are free of pesticide residues and heavy metals.
In the packing and storage stage, Capital Agro must ensure that the packing and storage materials for fresh vegetables are made of safe materials in addition to complying with the basic requirements for the materials used in writing data on the packages from the Food Safety Authority.
IQF

One of the main advantages of this method of preparing frozen food is that the freezing process takes only a few minutes. The exact time depends on the type of IQF freezer and the product. The short freezing prevents formation of large ice crystals in the product’s cells, which destroys the membrane structures at the molecular level, This makes the product keep its shape, color, smell and taste after defrost, to a far greater extent.
Another advantage of IQF technology is its ability to separate units of the products during freezing, which produces a higher quality product compared to block freezing. This is important for food sustainability, as the consumer can defrost and use the exact quantity needed.
